2021 summer read-a-thon

This year's Summer Read-a-thon will focus on raising money to resurface both the Wildwood upper and lower playground surfacing. We hope your student will help us with our goal!

Last year's Read-a-thon helped foster the Wildwood community and kept our students' reading skill from getting rusty. It was the perfect way to help support our school and fundraise over the summer months. We're excited to do it again this summer!

This year's read-a-thon will run through August 18, 2021 and you can register starting May 1st!
Our goal this year is to raise money to replace both the upper and lower playground footing.

We're using a web-based fundraising system (Pledgestar) that makes it easier for family and friends to pledge and donate. Students can win prizes including Apple AirPods or a Kids Kindle. You’ll get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your progress online. All students are encouraged to track their summer reading here, even if they're not fundraising!

The Wildwood Library has links to ebooks, audiobooks and more. More than 430 electronic books and 1200 audiobooks are available in our catalog and here are some Summer reading recommendations from our tri-school librarians. You can also use Epic, Trueflix or TumbleBooks. And Oakland Public Library ebooks are also available using Libby or Hoopla.
